Back to Metz

          by Torin

With a smaller non-PAG-Sunday group this time, shallow Metz seemed the best choice. We started out with a wide range of experience levels, so there were kinks to work out. Some of the higher level people got impatient with the slow pace, and the less experienced fighters became frustrated with falling so often.

Eventually, after some joining and leaving, the group settled into a more comfortable groove. I was happy to see my friend Terise duMiroir out of the library. Toward the end of hunt, Noivad was able to join us.

Orgatastic!

          by Torin

In a departure from routine, PAG didn't go to Slate Caves or Metz. Instead we spent the day in Orga territory: Hippy Hollow, Dred Passage, and New Orga Outback. Azriel was happy to have a chance to check for paths.

New Deputy?

          by Torin

Sheriff Noivad is considering hiring Nyx as his Deputy. I got a chance to see her in action on Monday's hunt at Metz. She is a young exile, but she has a good head for teamwork.

Yor explained that being a Deputy would be no walk in the park.

Nessie Sighting

          by Torin

Sunday PAG took us to Sarra for a fun hunt. While we were there, we caught a glimpse of the swimming Plesiodon that some believe to be the reincarnation of Lady Sarra.

At one point we got into trouble and had to wait for backup. Thanks to Kensington and Org du Lac for making the rescue possible.

Aborted NOOB

          by Torin

For the non-PAG-Sunday hunt that J'jh and I usually start, we had a good turnout. I wanted to try something other than Metz or DTN this time, so I suggested New Orga Outback (NOOB). The initial response was enthusiastic, though a few people dropped out while we waited for everyone to be ready.

We never got much beyond the NOOB entry. Things looked bad when Jeepers fell and Shiner (the other pathfinder) was having trouble getting out. It turned out that I had inadvertently chained a dead Warlock, hidden by the treasure chest. Only after I fell and dropped my chained people was the exit unblocked. We made a couple more attempts, but with no luck. At least no one departed.
